Even an expensive espresso machine is not required to make a perfect Iced Americano. The Moka Pot or other manual brew techniques, such as Vietnamese drips, can still be used to produce espresso.

We advise using dark roasted coffee for the coffee beans. But it’s also acceptable if you prefer light-roasted coffee.

Step 1 : Prepare the moka pot. Make sure it is clean and dry.
Step 2 : Fill the bottom chamber to just below the safety valve level. Use the best-filtered room temperature water you can get.
Step 3 : Fill the basket with coffee grounds. Fill it generously to the top, tap on the funnel base a few times to settle the coffee grounds, pat and level them off with dry fingers, then drop the basket into the chamber.
Step 4 : Place the pot on the stove. After a few minutes, watch the fountain’s outlets for signs the coffee is brewing.

Step 1 : Pour your moka pot espresso like coffee into a glass. A 90 ml of coffee will be enough.
Step 2 : Put the ice in. Fill the cup with cold water of double the volume of coffee you used. It should be a 2:1 ratio.
Step 3 : Serve your iced Americano. For extra options, you can Add-in your favorite coffee accompaniments such as cream, sugar, or syrups.
