Orange juice nutrition facts:

One cup of orange juice (8oz) provides 110 calories, 2g of protein, 27g of carbohydrates, and 0g of fat. Orange juice is an excellent source of vitamin C and potassium.

1. Carbs:

Orange juice contains naturally occurring sugar. That is natural sugar (fructose in this case) found in foods such as fruit. However, some orange juice brands may contain added sugar. That sugar is known as “added sugar,” and health experts advise us to limit our intake of added sugar. Furthermore, pure fruit juice may have additional health benefits, but more research is needed to determine what these are.

2. Fat:

There is no fat in orange juice

3. Protein:

Orange juice is a poor source of protein, containing only about two grams per serving.

4. Vitamins and minerals

One serving of orange juice contains all of the vitamin C you require for the day. Orange juice is also high in potassium and contains folate and thiamine, two B-complex vitamins.

5. Calories:

One cup of orange juice (8oz) contains 110 calories, the majority of which are carbohydrates. The remaining calories are made up of 4% fat and 6% protein. Based on a 2,000-calorie diet, eight ounces of orange juice accounts for 42 percent of your daily sugar.

Orange juice benefits

High in Vitamin C

Everyone knows that oranges are high in vitamin C, which helps the immune system. People tend to eat more vitamin C during cold seasons because it helps protect against colds and other illnesses.

Fighting free radicals

Oxidative stress damages our DNA, proteins, and cells, which means they can do a lot of harm to our bodies as well as our immune systems. Vitamin C helps to prevent the formation of free radicals and can aid in the absorption of other essential nutrients such as calcium and iron.

Fibrous

Oranges, believe it or not, have a high fiber content. 1 orange contains 18% of your daily fiber requirement, which can help with cholesterol levels and gut health.

Prevent from kidney stones

The best way to prevent kidney stones is by hydrating yourself, either with water or fruit juices such as orange juice. Orange juice contains citric acid and citrates, which are believed to help reduce the risk of kidney stones.

Improved blood circulation

A healthy blood circulation is essential for our organs because it nourishes every part of our body. Oranges are high in folate, which is required for the formation of DNA and the growth of new cells. This causes red blood cells to be produced by stimulating blood flow, so if you have cold hands and feet, eating oranges may help.

Anti inflammatory

When your body comes into contact with a foreign material, it uses inflammation to protect itself. Unfortunately, this process is harmful to the body and can lead to serious diseases such as cancer. Citrus fruits, in general, have anti-inflammatory properties that help to reduce inflammation.
